Why choose membership with The Food Embassy?
We work alongside communities to reshape the food system to be fairer, healthier and more sustainable. We are South Australia’s only social enterprise dedicated to strengthening regeneration of local food systems.
Our approach is community-centred, place based and our relationships (including with you!) sit at the centre of our ethos.
We prioritize deep listening to First Nation custodians who have managed this land sustainably for thousands of years and work closely to heal country – the first step in regenerating our food system.
We do this work because climate change, rising living costs and global crises have and will continue to put growing pressure on our food system. The average food basket travels a long way with many impacts and vulnerabilities along the way. Remember those empty supermarket shelves during the pandemic.
With the increasing impact of climate change and other global factors we need diversification in how we access our food and shorter supply chains – a more local food system is a critical solution.

$59 + booking fee ($1) to subscribe and receive all of the incredible membership offerings and 50% of your membership pays it forward to our Indigenous free ticket offering for all of our events and workshops. A pillar of our practice and values is deep listening and supporting our indigenous and non-indigenous friends to connect, heal and reconcile.
